Business Intelligence, Data visualization, KPI
Once data is selected and information operated, there is a time for making conclusions and predictions. The result should be a strategy. To facilitate creating a strategy, todays dashboards enable twofold tools: scorecards and strategy maps.
Company management must be considered in a few ways, which most important immediate reacting, and long-term decisions are. Thereupon, it's so crucial to prepare a strategy that is efficient and modifiable at the same time. It's something that dashboards can help with - if only they're well-prepared and designed. A possibility of comparing scorecards and strategy maps with actual performance values and most important indicators is a must. With that, immediate reacting is enabled, so that a manager - if he only notices that something is wrong or some scenarios haven't become successful in past - might change the statements. Inventing a strategy never is easy, but remains a must if we want to lead the company responsibly. Otherwise, we're depending on luck, what's something that every manager would like to avoid. And well-prepared dashboards have to minimize luck and accidents' role in management.
